Iraq neighbors pledge full solidarity with Iraq

Interior Ministers of Iraq's neighboring countries meeting in Turkey announced Tuesday full solidarity with Iraq hoping Iraq would be capable to surmount dangerous problems it is suffering.

In a final statement of their meeting, the ministers, stressed Iraq's sovereignty and independence as well Iraq's territorial safety, national unity and good neighborhood principals in addition to the non interference on his own affairs. "We consider that Iraq's stability and security are the main requirements for development and economic progress for Iraq and the region as we confirm the importance of the security cooperation among neighboring countries to achieve peace and stability in the region," the statement said.

Interior ministers renewed determination to boost full cooperation in field of borders security with Iraq through standing accords and arrangements including the" borders controlling in an effective way, and delicate observance of the crossing points as well movements via borders in addition to intelligence data exchange with the Iraqi national authority to get at terror infiltration operations and other illegal operations from and to Iraq."

Ministers of Iraq neighbors welcomed the Turkish delegation suggestion to put down "a multilateral draft protocol over cooperation in security field," to be adopted by Iraq and neighboring countries in the upcoming meeting noting that this would be as a first step to appoint liaison officers to follow up and implement the accord. Turkish Minister of Interior Abdulkadir Aksu called on Tuesday neighboring countries to Iraq to play an effective role as to make the political process in Iraq a "success," saying that it won't be achieved without security.
