El-Adli: Police receive human rights training

A new training course in the field of human rights will be held for Egyptian police officers working in the investigation research department.

The course, organized under the auspices of Interior Minister Habib el-Adli, will be held at the Police Academy in Abbasiya.

The 10-day course aims at increasing the understanding of human rights among police officers and introducing them to the latest developments in this field on both the domestic and international levels.

It also comes under the umbrella of the Foreign and Interior Ministries, cooperation program with the UN Development Program.

This course is the 12th among 28 courses held this year for officers working in prisons, public security and investigation research departments.

Approximately 1290 police officers have participated in these courses so far.
