Intercepting Lebanese fishing boats is legal: Syrian minister

Transport Minister Makram Obeid has stressed that intercepting the Lebanese fishing boats in the Syrian territorial waters is a legal measure.

In a statement to the Baath daily on Sunday, Obeid said "The Lebanese fishing boats were intercepted because they didn't have fishing permits and their case was transferred to the court to look into it."
