Akhbar El Yom: NDP insists on nominating Mubarak for presidential elections

The National Democratic Party (NDP) Secretary-General Safwat El-Sherif said his party insists on naming President Hosni Mubarak for the coming presidential elections for the tremendous achievements he made during his reign.

Sherif also refereed to President Mubarak's rich history and his far-sighted vision for implementing the political reform for the good of Egypt and the Egyptian people.

In his statement to Akhbar El Yom daily, Sherif said the coming few days will witness a partisan move at all levels in preparation for the presidential elections and the next people's Assembly elections, stressing that there will be full distinction between the government move and the partisan activity.
