Egyptian citizen being interrogated about London explosions

An Egyptian report said that an official Egyptian Ministry of Interior source stated today that, in regards to an alleged connection of an Egyptian citizen to the bombings that had taken place in London:

¥The aforementioned Egyptian citizen was arrested and is a resident of Egypt in the Basateen area (Cairo) with his family. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Cairo (1994) and is currently employed at the National Center for Research.

¥He traveled to the United Kingdom to study at the University of Leeds settling there from year 2000 to the present and earned a Doctorate degree earlier this year.

¥He departed from the UK for a month and half study break and plans to return to Britain to continue his studies.

¥He denied any connection to the aforementioned occurrences in London and noted that all his personal property was still in his apartment in Britrain. Questioning of the aforementioned individual continues.
