Lebanese media council demands France to reverse al-Manar decision

Lebanese National media council demanded Thursday the French government and judiciary to reverse their decision preventing the Lebanese satellite channel al-Manar from broadcasting across French areas.
"It is natural to allow the Lebanese audio-visual media, particularly al-Manar channel, to form democracy in Lebanon as well as to give the chance to practicing media freedom and transmitting all regional issue to the west in accordance with Western audio-visual laws," the council said in a statement just after a meeting.
