Arab League calls for a meeting of Security Council on Apartheid wall

The Arab League called on Thursday to hold an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly to take procedures capable of halting building of the Apartheid separation wall in the occupied Arab territories.

The Arab League Council denounced in a meeting on the level of permanent representatives, Israel's nonstop in building the wall underlining that it constitutes a "flagrant violation of the International Court of Justice decision and the UN General Assembly in July 20 in 2004 as well UN Security Council relevant resolutions."

The council statement underlined in this respect the, " illegality of the wall built by Israel," saying that all outcomes nowadays or in the future considered it as, " illegal action and practices that contradic with international law and international resolutions." The Arab League called to make contacts and consultations with the international groups atop of which comes the Organization of the Islamic Conference and the Non Aligned Movement to unify moves and as to make Israel abide by the international community calling upon al-Quds committee to hold a meeting to discuss means of facing these "risky developments over the wall." The Israeli government had agreed last Sunday to carry on building the wall that segregate 55,000 Palestinians from the Arab city of Jerusalem.
