Arab inter-parliamentary union supports Syria

Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) underlined support to Syria's right to restore the occupied Golan to June 4th 1976 border, considering all procedures taken by Israel to annex Golan as null and a violation of international law.

In a statement issued at the end of its 46th session in Algiers on Tuesday, the Council expressed solidarity with Syria against U.S. pressures that "target its firm principles," announcing rejection of the U.S. Congress' resolution on Syria Accountability Act since it breaches international law and is considered as an intervention in Syria's internal affairs.
