Envoy to visit Egyptian prisoners in Israeli jails

"Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul -Gheit yesterday instructed Cairo's envoy' in Tel Aviv, ambassador Mohammed Assem, to visit Egyptian detainees at Ashkalon and Be'er Sheva prisons, "the Middle East News Agency said.
Minister Abul-Gheit has also ordered the Ministry's directorates to prepare a comprehensive report on conditions of Egyptian detainees in Israeli jails, MENA added. The Palestinian Prisoners' Club reported on Monday that Egyptian detainees are suffering from a severe dearth of basic necessities in Israeli Jails.
