The series of explosions continue in Iraq

The series of explosions and attacks continue in various parts in Iraq, leaving more killings and wounded in the lines of Iraqi civilians and military men alike.

Three civilians were killed and other 15 injured in a booby trapped car explosion targeted one American vehicle in the industrial quarter area to the south of Karkouk.

In another attack that followed the explosion, the police sources said that three of its members were injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire at a police procession in the city which is situated to the north of Baghdad.

In various attacks in Baghdad and its northern area, unidentified gunmen killed three officers and one member in the Iraqi police. Gunmen assassinated Col. Amer Mozer from the criminal investigation office and injured his driver in the eastern part of the capital.

Gunmen killed a police officer in front of his house in Zayouna area to the south east of Baghdad. Iraqi security sources said the killed man was a guard for the technical secretary of the minister of the interior.

In Beji to the north of Baghdad, gunmen killed one police man working as a liaison officer between the American army and the Iraqi police. The attack resulted in injuring two children.

One police man was killed and another was injured seriously as a result of a bomb explosion that targeted their vehicle near the headquarters of the Baqouba police center in the downtown of the city.

Later in the day, the American army announced the killing of one of its soldiers because of his wounds in an armed attack in Baghdad, while other 14 gunmen were killed in one American operation in Tel-Afer city near Musil in the north of Iraq.
