Sudan ends emergency law in most of the country
The Sudanese security and intelligence department announced its had lifted censorship imposed on the press, in implementation of presidential decrees issued by the Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir on Sunday included lifting restrictions imposed on freedoms, and the ending of the state of emergency.

Iraqi delegation to Cairo to contain crisis
The Iraqi authorities yesterday tried to contain the escalation in the crisis with Egypt, as a result of Iraqi statements after the killing of Egypt's top diplomat in Baghdad, and announced that an Iraqi delegation will shortly visit Cairo, stressing that Iraq will not permit the assassination of head of the Egyptian diplomatic mission in Baghdad Eyhab al-Sharif to affect relations between the two states.

New bloody day in Iraq
Gunmen in Iraq yesterday killed nine Iraqi soldiers in al-Khales city near Baqouba to the north east of Baghdad, seven of them killed in an armed clash and two in a booby trapped car explosion. This was one day after the killing of 50 persons in various areas in Iraq.

Two American, 15 Iraqi soldiers killed in attacks
The American army said in a statement on Monday that two marines were killed in battles with gunmen to the west of Iraq. The two soldiers were killed on Sunday in Hait in al-Anbar governorate.
