Yemen, Politics, 7/12/2005
The state security court in Sanaa has completed investigation measures with 31 persons, members of what is called "Sanaa terrorist cell of Bader Eddine al- Houthi", in preparations to bring them to trial in August after the end of the judicial vacation of the courts.
A judicial source disclosed for the website September Net of the Yemeni ministry of defense that one woman, Intisar al-Sinai, was among the investigated persons and that she was arrested by the beginning of May in one of the residential flats in the eastern suburbs of the capital.
According to the source, the said woman was arrested within a "Sanaa terrorist group which was planning to carry out acts of destruction and throwing bombs at employees of the ministry of defense." The Yemeni security forces were able to arrest the leader of the cell Ibrahim al-Hakim by the end of May following a series of acts of detention in the circles of the cell, and confiscated large amounts of weapons, weapons and ammunition, timing devices and disguising cloths.
More than 1500 Yemenis members of al-Houthi supporters "the believing youth" are held in Yemeni jails. The Yemeni authorities say it tries to maintain a dialogue with them to convince them retract their "extremism." Bader Eddine al-Houthi, the leader of the recent rebellion in Yemen, is still fortifying himself in al-Naqa' tribal area, near the border with Saudi Arabia, together with Abdullah al-Ruzami, the field leader of the rebellion, along with scores of their armed gunmen.
The governorate of Sadah in the north witnessed during March and April renewed rebellion by al-Houthi supporters which resulted in killing or injuring hundreds.
Worthy mentioning that the supporters of Bader Eddine al-Houthi, the leader of the former rebellion in Yemen who was killed in 2004, vowed in June this year to stop their rebellion and abide by set conditions of the presidential pardon in the country.
