Sudan expresses thanks to Libya for help on Darfur problem

Sudan expressed great appreciations and gratitude to Libya's leader Muammar al-Qathafi for "tireless efforts in reaching an agreement on the declaration of principles document signed by the Sudanese government on one hand and Justice and Peace movement and the Sudanese liberation movement on the other with a view to solve the problem in Darfur region," JANA reported yesterday.
The report added "This came in a statement to PANA by the Sudanese foreign minister, Mustafa Othman Esmaiel. The Sudanese minister asserted that the leader of the revolution prioritized solving the Darfur problem on top of his concerns. He stressed that this problem is an African problem and that Africans are capable of solving it by themselves away from foreign interventions."
