Scores killed in Iraq

Armed insurgents continued on Wednesday in various parts of Iraq, resulted in killing or injuring scores of Iraqis. The last victim was one Iraqi police officer, while other ten were reported wounded following gunfire opened on their vehicle in Baghdad.

One Iraqi police man was killed and another was injured when gunmen attacked their car in al-Baya area to the west of Baghdad.

On the other hand, a medical source in al-Yarmouk hospital confirmed that one Iraqi police Maj. Gen. was injured in an attack at his car in Baghdad.

The American army said that one of its soldiers was killed and two others injured in an explosion in Deyali governorate to the north of Baghdad on Tuesday.

Three persons were killed and other nine injured in an attack by a booby trapped car targeted a convoy for the Iraqi army in Falluja to the west of Baghdad on Tuesday. Two Iraqi soldiers were killed and other seven injured in a bomb explosion followed a fire exchange in Abu Ghreib area to the west of Baghdad.

In Karbala, great damage was inflected in one American vehicle in a bomb explosion targted one American procession. One American truck for commodity transport was destroyed in a bomb explosion in al-Hatemeyah area near al-Khales. The American army announced that one military pilot-less reconnaissance plane crashed in Musil city. No reasons were reported for the crash.
