Mubarak opens Sohag bridge within hours

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak opens today Sohag over-flying bridge at costs of LE 100 million.

The seven kilometer-long bridge will solve traffic problem between the city's two sections after the urban expansion.

The new bridge links Sohag road with Qena and Aswan, west of the Nile and Akhmim east of the Nile.

Mubarak will also open during his visit to Sohag Mubarak medical city which includes a number of specialized hospitals.

Meanwhile, President Mubarak opens in October the national project for extending the sanitary drainage system to the Egyptian villages.

Minister of Housing Mohamad Ibrahim Suleiman said the experimental operation of sanitary drainage projects being carried out in 16 villages will be applied at in the rest of the villages.
