Zarqawi vows to continue fighting
Iraq, Politics, 7/6/2005
The leader of al-Qaida organization in Mesopotamia, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, rejected stances which call for distinction between legitimate resistance which target the Americans in Iraq and those that target civilians.
Zarqawi said in a voice recording issued on the internet that the determination of the organization is to continue fighting without negotiations, on the ground of what he called "Sharia rules".
Zarqawi reminded those who talk about dishonest resistance, what al-Qaida organization in Mesopotamia gave of sacrifices in Iraq. He said that al-Qaida organization gave its best in the fighting that took place in Falluja, Samera, and Baghdad as well as other sites in Iraq.
Zarqawi said that his group formed a new armed wing to fight the Shiite militias of Bader contingent. He added "we, in al-Qaida organization in Mesopotamia announce the formation of a military contingent we call "Omar contingent" in order to exterminate members and cadres of the "Bader contingent."
Zarqawi message came while news were taking about the inclination by certain armed groups in Iraq to negotiate with the Americans and the Iraqi government with the aim of integrating them in the political process. The last attempt to that effect was an announcement made by two armed groups to appoint a spokesman in their names in Iraq two days earlier.
