'Ties between Morocco and the United States are getting stronger', King
Morocco-USA, Politics, 7/5/2005

"Ties between Morocco and the United States are getting stronger and stronger at bilateral, regional and international levels thanks to (...) our keen determination to enhance and expand our strategic partnership," said King Mohammed VI in a message to U.S. president George W. Bush.

"I am convinced the close, longstanding friendship which has united our countries for more than two centuries, together with the common views we hold on all matters of interest to our nations, will help us fulfill our aspirations, strengthen our strategic partnership and make the most of the many cooperation opportunities offered to us," underlined the message, addressed to the American president on the occasion of the Independence Day of the United States. The Moroccan king expressed "deep appreciation" for President Bush continued support for the political, economic and social reforms underway in Morocco.
