Moroccan emergency aid to help Niger cope with drought impact

Morocco is shipping an emergency food aid to Niger, which is facing exceptional dire drought impact, as well as sending a military field hospital to help this West African country cope with the fallout of the bad climatic situation.
The assistance was announced after a phone call King Mohammed VI had on Monday with Niger president Mamadou Tandja, during which the Moroccan sovereign voiced the solidarity of the Moroccan people to Niger's. The field hospital is to be ran by 50 physicians and several other paramedical staff to assist Niger authorities in emergency on-the-terrain operations.
