Younis: Arab electricity grid venture probed

A meeting of the experts specialized in training from the member states of the executive bureau of Arab electricity ministers is to be held next week to discuss means of exchanging training courses as well as the steps of the Arab power grid linkage project.

Hassan Younis, Minister of Electricity and Energy said after a meeting with Abdul Rahman Sahbain, Arab League deputy secretary general and members of AL general secretariat for economic affairs, that the executive bureau includes ministers of electricity in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Libya, Mauritania and Egypt. The decisions of Arab electricity ministers' council meeting that was held in April included a number of steps regarding the Arab power grid linkage project as well as establishing data base on Arab experts specialized in this domain.
