Egypt on UN Security Council reforms
Egypt-UN, Politics, 7/2/2005

Egypt urged that the UN Security Council members be selected based on geographic groups, regardless of religion, like the case of the International Court of Justice.

Egypt's Assistant Foreign Minister Ahmed Fathallah reiterated yesterday, at the Organization of Islamic Conference meeting in Yemen, Egypt's views on the need for coordination among Islamic countries on UN reforms, which should not be confined only to the Security Council.
