Morocco does not welcome hostile persons, PM
Morocco-Spain, Politics, 7/2/2005
Morocco, 'a sovereign state', does not welcome "persons who express hostility to its institutions and territorial integrity," affirmed Moroccan Prime Minister.
Driss Jettou made this statement after four Spanish delegations were expelled from the Moroccan southern province of Laayoune, accused by local authorities of advocating the theses of the Polisario Front that lays claim to the kingdom's southern provinces (known as the Sahara). In a statement aired Friday by Medi 1 Radio, Jettou explained that the incidents that took place in Laayoune were "limited protests," insisting that Morocco is a "country where journalists move freely to carry out their mission."
