Moroccan Sahara: Cote d'Ivoire Moroccans urge for liberation of Tindouf detainees
Morocco-Cote d'Ivoire, Politics, 7/2/2005
The Moroccan community living in Cote d'Ivoire has called for the liberation of the Moroccans sequestered in Tindouf camps (south west Algeria), and denounced the Algerian interference in Morocco's domestic affairs, a communique said Friday.
The communique, issued jointly by three associations of the Moroccan expatriates in Cote d'Ivoire, stressed that the Moroccan community condemns "the destabilizing manoeuvres of Algeria, and its interference in Morocco's domestic affairs." The communique recalls that the detention of the Moroccans in Tindouf camps persists despite the multiple calls of the UN Secretary General, the resolutions of the Security Council and the countless interventions of international human rights organizations.
