Iraq' ambassador accuses US Marines of intentionaly killing his cousin
Iraq-USA, Politics, 7/2/2005
Iraq's ambassador at the UN, Samir al-Sumeidai, accused the American marine forces on Friday of killing his cousin deliberately during breaking into one house near al-Haditha town to the west of Iraq on June 25th.
Al-Sumeidai called for investigating this crime, noting that anger over this incident might endanger the general support for the US led rebuilding operation in Iraq.
The US army said it takes all these allegations seriously and promised to make a comprehensive investigation into this incident.
In another development, the British defense office announced that one British soldier was killed after he opened fire at himself mistakenly in his base in al-Basra to the south of Iraq.
On the other hand, press sources said that several Iraqis were killed or injured in an attack by missile shelling and machine guns targeting Musab Bin Omeir mosque at TelAfer city.
