Moussa: Arab states ready for reforms
Regional, Politics, 6/30/2005
"The end of the Cold War and globalization are the main reasons for Arab countries to revise their social and political systems and express their readiness to follow the path of modernization and democratization," the Arab League (AL) Secretary-General Amr Moussa said yesterday.
The Cyprus News Agency quoted Moussa as saying that in the next few years there would be many changes in the Arab countries, adding that when the Palestinian question is resolved, the Middle East would be transformed into a very different region.
