Egypt, Turkey start political consultations in Ankara

Delegations of the Egyptian and Turkish foreign ministries started political consultations yesterday at the Turkish Foreign Ministry premises in Ankara. This round of political consultations is the first of its kind to be held at the level of assisstant foreign ministers since June 2001.
The Turkish and Egyptian sides asserted that both Cairo and Ankara are keen to promote bilateral relations in various fields and coordinate stances vis-a-vis regional and international issues of common concern.
