Attacks continue in Iraq, several police men killed

An explosion of a booby trapped car in the new Baghdad area resulted in killing four Iraqis and injuring other three. One police officer in the terrorism fighting office was killed by gunmen bullets in Karkouk.

In Samera, police sources explained that one of its members was killed at the hand of unidentified gunmen. Two Iraqi soldiers were killed and other four were injured, including one contractor, after a joint Iraqi-American base in Balad to the north of Baghdad was exposed by mortar shelling.

Two Iraqi soldiers were killed and other four injured in an anti- armored vehicles shelling that targeted an inspection point in al-Seneyeh area to the west of Beji in the north of Baghdad.

The Iraqi ministry of the interior announced the killing of one Iraqi and the injuring of his wife in two explosions when one Iraqi police patrol was running in Baghdad. One Iraqi contractor was killed working for the Americans at the hands of unidentified gunmen in another attack in al-Doura area.

Seven Iraqi civilians were injured when one mortar fell at a restaurant in Baghdad. Three Iraqis, including one police office, were killed when gunmen blew up a hairdresser shop with an explosive on late Sunday evening.

The Iraqi police and army found three bodies one of them is for an Iraqi contractor and the other two are not identified found floating in a river near al-Dajil area.
