Amr Moussa: Iraq needs Arab presence

Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa said Sunday that the League must be present in Iraq, adding that the League is the main regional institution to which Iraq belongs.
In statements published by the Kuwaiti newspaper Al Watan on Sunday, Moussa said the League is giving a hand in rebuilding what had been destroyed over the past year out of its commitment to the UNSC resolutions and its interest in the destiny of Iraq and its people. Moussa noted that he informed Iraq of the League's intention to open a representation office there to aid Iraqis closely follow up conditions and help restore stability in cooperation with the United Nations.
