CNN: Lahoud: Syrian troops completely back home
Lebanon-Syria, Politics, 6/27/2005

The Syrian troops returned completely back home, and there are no Syrian troops in Lebanon now President Emile Lahoud of Lebanon said Sunday on CNN.

Ties between Lebanon and Syria are historic and long and bound by geography and so Lebanon should keep this rapprochement, President Lahoud told CNN.

In his interview with CNN, he stressed that the enemies of Lebanon are those who commit acts of assassination which target Lebanese politicians, adding that those enemies are behind the assassination of former Lebanese Premier Rafiq Hariri because they don't want a stable Lebanon.
