al-Hayat: Patrick Seale: Occupation is main reason for resistance

British Writer Patrick Seale has underlined that Israeli occupation of Gaza Strip and the West Bank is the main reason for the Palestinian resistance.

In an article published Friday by London-based 'al-Hayat' newspaper, Seale criticized the justifications circulated by those who reject Israeli withdrawal from Gaza under the pretext that such a withdrawal, under the occurrence of resistance, will be a victory to the Palestinian resistance.

Regarding Iraq, Seale underscored that prolonging the American occupation of Iraq will increase the resistance attacks, "the U.S. is facing a real possibility of defeat there." He added that the "War Team" in the U.S., who pushed for the war, has started to lose in America, asserting that the war on Iraq was a result of mutual American-Israeli aspirations.
