Bitterlin criticizes pressures on Syria

Chairman of the Arab-French Solidarity Association Lucien Bitterlin criticized Friday foreign pressures on Syria despite the implementation of the relevant part of the UN Security Council Resolution No. 1559.
In a statement issued in Paris titled "Solidarity with Syria," Beitterlin urged France to establish strong relations of cooperation with Syria based on facts, not on baseless criticism, pointing out to France's great interests in the Arab states. He also called on France to follow the foot steps of Former President Charls De Gaulle in maintaining friendship and cooperation relations with Arab states, asserting the importance of separating those relations from pressure coming from behind the Atlantic.
