Hammoud and Feltman for unity of Iraq
Lebanon-Iraq, Politics, 6/21/2005

Lebanese Foreign Minister Mahmoud Hammoud on Monday said his country is committed to Iraq's unity and sovereignty, calling for the necessity of implementing the UN relevant resolutions on Iraq.

Hammoud held talks with the US Ambassador in Beirut Jeffery Feltman on the US-Lebanon relations and the international conference on Iraq expected in Brussels next Wednesday.

The Lebanese minister stressed the importance of restoring the stolen Iraqi ruins as they are an Iraqi and world heritage.

Feltman, for his part, said "the upcoming conference of Brussels aims at showing the international support to Iraq sovereignty and independence."
