Hoss criticizes foreign intervention in the elections
Lebanon-Regional, Politics, 6/21/2005

Former Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss criticized Monday foreign intervention in affairs of the Lebanese parliamentary elections saying "The true democracy expresses the peoples' will while democracy of the great states is a dictation to people, and we have to expect more in the future."

In a statement, Hoss considered that results of the elections were imposed by the U.S. and France through their insistence to hold the elections whatever the price is. He inquired "If this is not a flagrant intervention in Lebanon's internal affairs, so what can we call it?"
