British air bombardment of Iraqi sites

In the context of what is called chasing gunmen and terrorists in Iraq, the American army announced that American and British planes attacked position sites in al-Karbelah areas to the west of Baghdad near the Syrian borders. This was in the course of al-Ramh ( arrow ) operation which started on Friday.
A statement by the American army said that the planes raided cars and buildings for "terrorists." The statement explained that remote control monitored laser missiles and bombs were used in al-Karabelah and its quarters in support of the Iraqi security forces and the American marines.
The statement said that Sunday's operations resulted in killing three gunmen and that a factory for explosives making was found in the city, besides mobile phones, light weapons shelters and machine guns and ammunition.
According to the statement of the American army, al-Ramh operation in the few past days resulted in killing 50 gunmen and arresting other 100.
The American army involves some 1000 marines and soldiers supported by Iraqi forces and jets and helicopters in an operation aims at chasing gunmen to the north west of Baghdad.
