The International Bank for Trade and Finance opens new branch

The International Bank for Trade and Finance on Wednesday opened its first branch in the Syrian northern city of Aleppo to facilitate economic activates and banking transactions there.
The banks' Chairman of the Board, Abdullatef Alkep, underlined "the importance of banking for the Syrian market which witnesses increased activity and progress, particularly in line with the economic openness in Syria."
He told SANA that the Bank seeks to have a distinguished position at the Syria market.
Syria recently issued a number of laws and decrees in the economic field to contribute to facilitate banking, and paving the way for private banks.
