Mrs Mubarak: Rural women back bone of their societies

Egypt's First Lady Suzanne Mubarak said yesterday that the contribution of rural women to world economies is inestimable. Rural women are indeed the backbone of the economies of their societies.

Mrs Mubarak called for improving the living standards, health care and services provided for rural women. Mubarak said this at the conference of the Arab International Women's Conference: Women and Integrated Rural Development.
