Al-Raya: Lahoud: Syria is natural extension of Lebanon

Lebanon's President Emile Lahoud said "Syria is a natural extension of Lebanon," stressing that the Syrian-Lebanese relations are always one of the best relations which has geographical and social depth.
In an interview given to the Qatari al-Raya daily published on Monday, Lahoud added that Syria has extended aid to Lebanon to help it overcome many crisis and obstacles. Lahoud underlined that the Syrian-Lebanese relations are based on deep-rooted ties linking the two states and peoples.
