Saudi king's health improving
Saudi Arabia, Politics, 6/14/2005

A high ranking Saudi official said that the health condition of the Saudi Arabian king Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz is improving, two weeks after being admitted to hospital.

The Saudi minister of the interior prince Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz said that the health condition of the king is good and is improving continuously, but indicated no date for the king to leave the hospital.

But he said he believes that the check out of the king from hospital is linked to completing of medical measures.

The statements of prince Nayef came after the confirmation made by the Saudi crown prince Abdullah on June 6th that the health condition of the king is improving continuously, while officials said by the end of the month that the king might leave the hospital within days.

On the other hand, certain diplomats said they have worries over the health conditions of the king.

Worthy mentioning that King Fahd, 83 years old, was admitted to hospital on May 27th after he had respiratory infection and problems in his breathing. The king assumed power in the oil rich country in 1982. His brain stroke in 1995 resulted in the crown prince Abdullah's assumption of the responsibility on behalf of the king since then.
