Human rights seminar in Libya tomorrow

"Al Wafa Hall in Sirte is to host on 12th and 13th of June, a scientific seminar on the human rights" in Libya in which over 250 participants are to take part including scholars from Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon, Morocco, Sudan, Yemen, Jordan, Senegal, Djibouti, and Palestine.

JANA reported that "Secretary and members of the secretariat of Arab lawyers Union, and chairman of the African jurists, Director of the General Department of Human Rights at the Arab League, secretaries of the lawyers unions in the said countries as well as secretaries of people's Committee for law, political sciences and economy and jurists would also take part in the seminar organized by the legal affairs and human rights at the Secretariat of GPC."

JANA said the conference aims at "highlighting the distinguished status occupied by the Great Green Charter among universal documents, being ushering in a new era- era of the masses- that absorbs and transcends previous charters, and it is also aimed at consolidating the Great Green Charter by further research, study and dialogue on its humanitarian content."

Topics include:

1- The historical and philosophical development of human rights concepts.

2- A reading in the traditional, regional and domestic documents for the human rights to show what is a positive and deficiencies.

3- The additions and renews introduced by the Great Green Charter to the field of human rights

)the globalize of the charter-supremacy of the human being(

4- Human rights and political systems.

5-The effect of globalization on human rights.

6-NGOs and human rights associations.
