Egypt-Palestine, Local, 6/11/2005
Sixty trucks loaded with various Egyptian commodities entered yesterday the Palestinian self-rule areas through Rafah checkpoint.
Coordination is underway to get permission for several other trucks to enter the territories to meet the need of the Palestinian people, in accordance with an agreement signed by the Egyptian and Palestinian sides on trade cooperation.
Around 40 Palestinians spent the night on the Egyptian side of Rafah checkpoint Thursday.
Israeli authorities refused to allow them entry into the Palestinian self-rule areas, claiming they arrived after working hours at the Israeli side of the checkpoint.
