L'Equipe: Morocco's Marouane Chemmakh worth eight million euros
Morocco, Sports, 6/11/2005

Moroccan international and Girondins de Bordeaux striker, Marouane Chemmakh transfer fee is estimated at eight million euros, said on Friday the French sport daily newspaper "L'Equipe."

The daily said the Moroccan "elegant" striker received an offer (a four/five-year contract) from the French first league champion 'Lyon' and is wanted by Inter Milan and Ajax Amsterdam that attended a couple of Chemmakh's matches.

According to the daily, the Moroccan young international striker expressed his wish to leave the club. The newspaper quoted the Moroccan player as saying that he wants to leave Bordeaux and that he does not see himself playing in this club next season.

However, President of Bordeaux, Jean-Louis Triaud, stressed last week

that Marouane Chemmakh is "un-transferable."

The 21-year-old player has been in impressive form this season with ten goals.

He is tied to the Girondins de Bordeaux until 2009.
