Moroccan exports growth estimated at 3.6% in 2000-04
Morocco, Economics, 6/11/2005
The growth of Moroccan exports in 2000-2004 has not exceeded 3.6%, contrary to expectations of the economic development plan that forecasted a growth rate of 6.5%.
Moroccan Minister of Foreign Trade, Mustapha Mechahouri said, here Thursday, this underachievement is due to the frail competitiveness of Moroccan products, the alteration in the international market and the strong performance of new countries in the international market notably China, India and Turkey.
