al-Rai al-A'm: EU hasn't taken procedures to stop Israeli racial wall: parliamentarian

Member of the European Parliament and Chairwoman of the Development Committee at the EU Luisa Morgantini said the Union hasn't taken any serious procedure to stop the construction of the racial wall of separation in the occupied Palestinian lands.

In a statement published Wednesday by Kuwaiti newspaper al-Rai al-A'm, Morgantini said the international community, who is responsible for the issue of the racial, wall has failed in stop building it as well as the Israeli settlements. "Israel is trying to accuse those who criticize it of being anti-Semitic while in fact it occupies the Palestinian lands."

She called on the international community to pressure Israel into abiding by the UN relevant resolutions, saying "the European Union should deal with Israel as a state which violates the International law and human rights."
