Syria-USA, Politics, 6/9/2005

The party fellow members discussions focused on the Great Middle East project and warned against its risks, " because it targets the independent decision of Arab countries where the project defines its main task as standing in queue and subjugating to the main great powers regardless of the higher interest of the Arab countries."
Participants underlined interest in boosting ties with neighboring countries mainly with Iran and Turkey, in a way that reflects Syria's efforts to consolidate security and stability in the region, SANA said.
Interpositions noted to Syria's search for Arab solidarity as the main cornerstone in the foreign policy of Syria. It is "to accomplish Arab interests and boost ties with Arab states on bilateral level via deepening cooperation in all social, political and economic domains."
