Al-Assad takes part in congress deliberations

Syria's President Bashar Assad listened to the congress's discussions and interpositions regarding meetings of the three committees that emerged from it as well as ways of reactivating public organizations and professional unions, spokesperson of al-Ba'ath Party Congress said today.
President al-Assad held meeting Wednesday with members of 10th regional congress of al-Ba'ath Arab Socialist Party, who represent the party's branches in Syrian governorates. "Meetings dealt with issues that concern Syrian governorates in all fields," Speaker of the Congress Buthaina Shaaban said told journalists in a press conference.
