King calls for 'energizing' Maghreb Arab Union

King Mohammed VI of Morocco has called for "energizing and developing the Maghreb Arab Union" (UMA) in a message to Libyan leader, Muammar al-Qathafi. The message, which was delivered Tuesday by Moroccan Foreign Minister, Mohamed Benaissa, also touched on preparing the " appropriate conditions for holding the chairmanship Council of the Union" said a Libyan official source.
The message called for "pursuing the realization of Maghreban joint projects in the economic, cultural, education and other fields."
