The Australian hostage in Iraq in good health

Australia's Mufti Sheikh Taj Eddine al-Hilali was able to meet the Australian citizen Douglas Wood who is held as a hostage in Iraq and received confirmation that he is getting necessary treatment for the problems he suffers.

A spokesman for Sheikh al-Hilai said he had met with Wood ( 63 year old) during a visit to Iraq aiming at releasing him.

Wood, a businessman, that often live in the USA, was kidnapped in April by a group calling itself the Iraqi Mujahideen Shoura council that demanded the withdrawal of the Australian soldiers from the country for releasing the hostage.
