French company to build largest purification plant in Morocco

A French water treatment engineering company will build in Marrakech the largest water purification plant in Morocco.
Under a 20 million euro contract, "Degremont," branch of "Suez Environnement" group, is also to run the water treatment station expected to process a volume of liquid waste equivalent to the water used by one million people.
The project, supported by the European investment bank, will benefit the "Regie Autonome Intercommunale de Distribution d'Eau et d'Electricite de Marrakech" (RADEEMA), a communiquŽ of the company said.
Degremont brings expertise in many fields to the diverse sectors of drinking water, industrial water, and wastewater and sludge treatment.
