Another Iraqi official assassinated

Deputy chairman of the governorate of Deyali Hussein Elwan al-Tamimi was killed together with four of his escorts in a booby trapped car driven by a suicide bomber targeting his procession in Baqouba.

Four persons were killed including one child and other 11 injured in a booby trapped car explosions at the entrance of complex for the north oil company in Karkouk.

Police sources said the explosion took place as the cars convoy for the American consulate entered the place and that many of the cars were damaged.

Meantime, Iraqi medical and security sources announced the killing of nine persons including three Iraqi army members and one Turkish truck driver and wounding of other four including one Iraqi soldier in various attacks on Thursday morning in Beiji and al-Seneiheh area, al- Sherqat, Sabkha and al-Dalou'eya to the north of Baghdad.

One suicide bomber detonated his car in al-Doura quarters to the south of Baghdad and the explosion resulted in wounding one police man. The police sources said that the security forces arrested three suspects while riding another car near the site of the explosion.
