Miqati condemns Israeli violations, call for a state of institutions in Lebanon
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 6/2/2005

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Wednesday condemned the Israeli violations of the Lebanese airspace and sovereignty.

Miqati, in a message sent to the UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, stressed the dangers posed by the Israeli continued violations of the Lebanese sovereignty, saying that "those violations constitute a flagrant defy of the international will and threat the vital duty of the international forces in South Lebanon." He expressed hope that efforts of Annan will be continued to achieve stability and security in the world.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Intellectuals' Gathering reiterated condemnation of foreign interventions in the Lebanese affairs, particularly in the current parliamentary elections.

The Gathering, following a meeting with Lebanese Information Minister Charles Rizk, underlined support to the resistance, calling for establishing a state of institutions in Lebanon.
