US welcome the Lebanese elections

Washington commended the Lebanese elections and described them as constitution the first step towards Lebanon's sovereignty. The spokesman for the US state department Richard Boucher stressed that the USA and the international community will continue their support for the democratic operation in Lebanon as far as the government continues its preparations for the successive phases of the elections on June 5, 12 and 19.
